Almanassa Libya hosted an intensive training course at its headquarters, in partnership with the Google News Initiative. The workshop aimed to deepen awareness regarding the responsible and ethical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within the context of the Arab media landscape and content creation industries.
The course forms part of Almanassa’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of professionals working in media, content production, and fact-checking fields, empowering them to utilise AI tools consciously and responsibly to improve the quality of their work.
The session was attended by faculty members of the University of Benghazi’s Faculty of Arts, alongside various specialists interested in related disciplines.
The trainer, Dr.Ahmed Khorwat delivered an in-depth presentation that covered the fundamental principles of AI and demonstrated how to apply its tools in research, content production, fact-checking, and writing. Dr. Khorwat also addressed prominent ethical issues, such as algorithmic biases, and discussed effective methods for mitigating their potential negative impact.
This specific course is integrated into a broader training programme, implemented in collaboration with the Google News Initiative, dedicated to boosting digital literacy and elevating the quality standards of media content across the Arab region
