Libya secures two medals at Islamic Solidarity Games

Libya concluded its participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games, hosted in Saudi Arabia, by achieving the twenty-seventh position in the overall ranking of participating nations. The Libyan delegation’s efforts resulted in a final count of two medals.

The country’s medals were secured by champions Mohamed Rajab in the Paralympic discus throw event and Nouri Al-Saadawi, claiming a bronze in the Karate competition.

The Libyan contingent, consisting of 34 athletes, participated in 13 different sports throughout the tournament.

Regarding the top-ranking nations, Turkey dominated the general standings, finishing first with a total of 155 medals. Uzbekistan secured second place with 96 medals, and Iran followed in third with 81. Among the prominent Arab participants, Saudi Arabia ranked fourth with 57 medals, while Egypt secured the fifth spot with 45 medals.
