The Minister of Interior-designate of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, hosted his Turkish counterpart, Ali Yerlikaya, and his accompanying delegation on Monday. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.
This visit is framed by the mutual drive to deepen bilateral security cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two nations. Discussions centred specifically on specialised training and qualification programmes, aiming to enhance and develop the competencies of Libyan police forces.
The two ministers also addressed methods for elevating joint coordination to support efforts in combating organised crime, in addition to deliberating mechanisms and plans for protecting Libya’s borders.
