The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Tuesday that the engineering teams at Al-Harouge Oil Operations Company successfully commissioned the B-119 well located in the Amal field.
According to the official statement released by the NOC, the new well will boost the country’s total daily output by 1,100 barrels, following the completion of drilling operations that reached a depth of 10,250 feet in just 45 days.
The National Oil Corporation is pursuing an ambitious expansion plan to increase Libya’s oil production. It aims to raise output to 1.6 million barrels per day (bpd) during 2026, subsequently targeting 1.8 million bpd by the end of 2028, and ultimately reaching a maximum target of 2 million bpd by 2030.
