The Qatari capital, Doha, will host a highly consequential football match tomorrow, Tuesday, between the Libyan and Palestinian national teams. This fixture, to be played at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, serves as the gateway to the Arab Cup finals. The team that manages to secure victory will guarantee qualification, setting up an immediate clash with the Qatari team in the tournament’s opening match on 1 December.
The Palestinian team enters the contest determined to seize qualification, while the Libyan team remains focused on its ambition to advance in the regional competition. This shared urgency elevates the game’s significance, placing it among the most crucial encounters of the current qualifying round. The match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 Libya local time.
This contest is part of the qualification phase being held in Qatar over 25 and 26 November, where 14 nations are competing for just seven spots in the main draw. Meanwhile, nine other teams have already secured direct passage to the group stage, based on the official rankings issued by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
The tournament itself is set to take place at a selection of Qatar’s premier sporting venues. Prominent among these is Al Bayt Stadium, designated to host the opening ceremonies. Other key facilities hosting the matches include Lusail Stadium, which will stage the final on 18 December, alongside Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Education City Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, and Stadium 974.
