During a grand gala held in Cairo on November 30, attended by several ministers, ambassadors, and distinguished Arab figures, the diplomat Al-Zahra’ Langhi, a political strategist, scholar, and expert in mediation and conflict resolution, was awarded the “Humanitarian and civic excellence” award by TAKREEM Foundation as part of its 2025 awards.
Langhi’s selection came in appreciation of her prominent contributions to advancing human rights, peace-building, and supporting the role of women. The Foundation affirmed that this choice represents an acknowledgement of her pioneering role in backing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, alongside her continuous advocacy for human rights and her extensive expertise in inclusive governance and diplomatic work.
TAKREEM Foundation was established in 2009. It honors those who have excelled in their field and inspired others. Its awards are granted annually across nine different categories, with winners selected by a jury of renowned individuals and accomplished professionals.
