France has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the electoral process in Libya. Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, Paul Soler, emphasized his country’s support for the House of Representatives and its efforts to organize simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections, describing them as a crucial step toward resolving the political crisis and achieving stability.
This occurred during Soler’s reception of Aguila Saleh, the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, who arrived today, Tuesday, in the French capital, Paris, on an official visit.
The French envoy also praised the outcomes of the 6+6 Committee, considering them an important consensual step regarding electoral laws, and emphasized the need for the committee to continue its work to ensure the effective progress of the electoral process.
