In Doha, Libya’s Minister of Housing and Reconstruction, Abu Bakr Owaidat, met with Qatar’s Minister of Social Development and Family, Buthaina bint Ali Al‑Jabr Al‑Nuaimi, who also chairs the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction.
Owaidat emphasized the importance of establishing a joint committee to strengthen coordination between the two countries in housing and family stability. He extended an official invitation to Minister Al‑Nuaimi to visit Libya soon, aiming to bolster the partnership and exchange successful experiences.
The meeting, attended by Libya’s Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Al‑Lafi and the Minister’s Chief of Staff Abdelmajid Al‑Qatroni, also discussed ways to expand cooperation in housing projects and exchange expertise in administrative planning, training, and capacity building.
For her part, Minister Al‑Nuaimi highlighted the significance of advancing Arab cooperation in housing and reconstruction, affirming Qatar’s readiness to support initiatives that contribute to developing the sector and promoting social stability.
