Talks between Libya’s Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al‑Shahoubi, and the Secretary‑General of Airports Council International – Africa concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Libyan Airports Authority, setting the framework for cooperation in the coming phase.
During the meeting, the Secretary‑General reaffirmed the Council’s readiness to provide technical support and contribute to enhancing the skills of staff working in Libyan airports, ensuring compliance with recognized international standards and regulations.
Minister Al‑Shahoubi emphasized the importance of drawing on the Council’s accumulated expertise in technical training and institutional development, noting that cooperation aims to modernize Libya’s civil aviation system and advance airport infrastructure and development projects.
