The Libyan Volleyball League for the 2025–2026 season begins Saturday, featuring 15 teams divided into three groups. The competition is expected to deliver intense rivalries and strong fan engagement across multiple sports halls.
Group Two opened the action on Saturday, December 21, at the Misrata Sports Hall. Al‑Bashaer face Al‑Afriki Zliten in the first match, followed by Al‑Ittihad Misrata against Al‑Huda. The clash between Al‑Swehli and Al‑Tahaddi Misrata has been postponed due to Al‑Swehli’s participation in the Volleyball Club World Championship.
Group Three matches are scheduled for Sunday, December 21, at Tripoli’s Grand Hall. Asaria meets Al‑Ahli Tripoli in the opening game, followed by Al‑Ittihad versus Al‑Jazeera. Al‑Nahda will sit out this round.
Group One also begins on Sunday at Al‑Hilal Hall, with Al‑Hilal taking on Al‑Nasr. The round continues on Tuesday, December 23, when Al‑Ahli Benghazi meets Al‑Muruj, with matches played at Al‑Marj and Al‑Hilal halls.
The league’s launch comes as teams aim for a strong start, with a diverse schedule spread across several Libyan venues.
