Benghazi – Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, visited the Egyptian Frigate “FFG 976 Port Said” during its call at the Benghazi Naval Base. He was received by the Commander of the Egyptian Navy’s First Destroyer Flotilla and the Commanding Officer of the Egyptian frigate, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Masry.
The visit of the Egyptian frigate to the city of Benghazi comes within the framework of enhancing military cooperation relations between the Libyan and Egyptian naval forces and supporting programs for the exchange of expertise in the field of naval training.
Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar affirmed the depth of Libyan-Egyptian relations and the ongoing coordination and cooperation witnessed in various military fields, which serve the common interests of the two brotherly nations
