Benghazi – In a meeting with Libyan Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir issued a strong endorsement of Libya’s path and leadership.
General Munir affirmed that Libya is progressing towards security and stability under the leadership of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar. He praised Field Marshal Haftar for bearing a “grave national responsibility” and achieving “decisive victories” against terrorist groups through precise military operations under difficult circumstances.
Looking forward, General Munir called on the Libyan people to stand with their armed forces, expressing his confidence in the country’s future. He stated that Libya, drawing inspiration from the legacy of national hero Omar al-Mukhtar, is capable of overcoming its challenges.
The meeting, which focused on enhancing bilateral military cooperation, was marked by a spirit of fraternity. General Munir expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and confirmed the shared desire to elevate Libyan-Pakistani relations through further cooperation.
