The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who expressed his deepest condolences following the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army and his accompanying delegation. The President affirmed Turkey’s full solidarity with the bereaved families and the Libyan people during this difficult humanitarian period.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the latest developments regarding the investigation into the crash, underlining the importance of continued close coordination between relevant authorities in Ankara and Tripoli. They also reviewed the ongoing cooperation with the Libyan technical delegation currently in Turkey to oversee the legal and technical procedures surrounding the incident.
For his part, Dbeibah expressed his appreciation for the Turkish President’s gesture, praising the late Chief of Staff as a model of discipline and responsibility, who had contributed significantly to strengthening institutional work and developing relations with international partners in the service of Libya’s national interests.
