A Libyan military delegation has arrived in Turkey to inspect the wreckage of the private aircraft that was carrying the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad. The visit is part of an intensive investigation to determine the causes behind the tragic crash, which involved General Al-Haddad, four companions, and a three-member crew.
The Libyan Ambassador to Ankara, Mustafa Al-Qulaib, accompanied the delegation to the crash site in the Haymana district of Ankara province to facilitate direct coordination with the relevant Turkish authorities and to oversee the progress of the ongoing technical inquiries.
The aircraft went down last night, prompting Turkish search and rescue teams to mobilise in the early hours to locate the debris following the catastrophic incident.
