Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler stated that the Turkish Armed Forces continue to operate in Libya, carrying out missions that include military training, advisory support, and technical cooperation. These activities, he explained, are part of Ankara’s broader policy toward the Libyan file.
Güler emphasized that Turkey’s central objective is to help build a unified Libyan state that safeguards its territorial integrity, maintains political cohesion, and enjoys peace and stability.
He noted that tangible progress has been made toward Libya’s unification, attributing this to dialogue and the efforts Turkey is pursuing with different Libyan actors. According to Güler, Ankara’s approach is guided by clear principles aimed at reinforcing stability and advancing a comprehensive political settlement.
