The Free Zone Port of Sirte has received the cargo vessel AK GLORIO from Ukraine, carrying approximately 7,500 tons of wheat designated for the city’s newly established flour plant in the Al‑Zaafran district.
According to the port’s media office, authorities immediately began unloading operations upon the ship’s arrival, with the grain set to be transferred in stages to the plant’s storage facilities in preparation for the start of full production.
This delivery forms part of economic support projects overseen by the National Development Authority, aimed at strengthening food security, stabilizing supply chains, and stimulating local production in Sirte and surrounding areas.
