Recent weather fluctuations and shifting winds have unveiled a remarkable archaeological discovery in Wadi Ataba, exposing an intact ancient settlement previously buried under the dunes. Located approximately seven kilometres west of the city of Tsawa, at the gateway to Wadi Barjouj extending from the deep desert, the site emerged as the wind cleared vast amounts of sand to reveal a city built entirely from mud bricks. The architectural remains display a high degree of structural preservation, showcasing clearly defined urban features.
