The Minister of Finance in the Government of National Unity, Khaled al-Mabrouk, has issued strict instructions to all government entities requiring the daily deposit of collected revenues into the Ministry’s vaults or its designated accounts at the Central Bank of Libya. This circular aims to bolster financial discipline by prohibiting the storage of any cash or personal belongings within official vaults, while enforcing a total ban on financial transactions or cheque disbursements conducted outside approved legal frameworks.

Al-Mabrouk emphasized the mandatory use of precise daily ledgers to document all financial activities and the regular reconciliation of balances to ensure any accounting errors are corrected immediately. These measures are part of the Ministry’s strategy to safeguard public funds, enhance transparency in managing state resources, and improve the efficiency of the oversight system governing government revenues and expenditures.
