The Central Bank of Libya has dispatched 150 million dinars in physical currency to its issuance department in Misrata, a move designed to shore up liquidity across the central region. Banking sources confirmed to Almanassa that the distribution to commercial bank branches is slated to begin on Thursday. This cash injection is specifically intended to enable citizens to access their January salaries, which were cleared at the beginning of the year, while providing much-needed financial relief for households preparing for the start of Ramadan.
