The Maltese capital hosted the Libyan–European Forum for Transport, Communications, and Telecommunications, featuring active participation from the Charge d’Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Malta, Mohamed Ali Al-Sharif. He highlighted the strength of Libyan–Maltese ties and bolsters Malta’s position as a vital hub for regional cooperation in the Mediterranean.
The Libyan official also emphasized his country’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with European nations, particularly in the transport and telecommunications sectors. He highlighted these sectors as cornerstones for economic development, serving as a means to exchange expertise and establish joint projects that serve mutual interests.

The forum featured high-level representation, including the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Libya, the Libyan-French Chamber of Commerce, the Libyan Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Company (LPTIC), along with Al-Madar Al-Jadid and Libyana Mobile Phone companies, alongside experts and representatives from specialized firms from Libya and several European countries.
