Both parties agreed to move forward with joint work within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation (UNSDCF). This aims to ensure institutional harmony and to guide UN programs to meet Libyan development needs precisely.
The two officials concurred that development is key to addressing the root causes of the country’s challenges. They emphasized the importance of improving governance, fighting corruption, and combating illicit activities such as fuel, drug, and weapon smuggling, as well as human trafficking, to achieve tangible positive outcomes that foster peace and development for all Libyan citizens.
