The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Masoud Suleiman, signed the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) agreement, sponsored by the United Nations.
By virtue of this signing, the National Oil Corporation has officially joined the group of countries and institutions under the supervision of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), to be part of international efforts aimed at reducing methane emissions and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The National Oil Corporation indicated that this event is a positive step that reinforces the corporation’s commitment to approved international charters and treaties in the field of environmental protection, and also supports United Nations efforts and enhances cooperation agreements with international companies and organizations, in addition to the European Union and the World Bank.
