Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, received Major General Hassan Rashad, Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi. The meeting was attended by Chief of the General Staff General Khaled Haftar, General Khairy al-Tamimi, Secretary-General of the General Command, along with Lieutenant General Basem al-Buaishi, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, and Lieutenant General Ayoub Bousif, Director of the Commander-in-Chief’s Office. Earlier, General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, had welcomed the Egyptian official upon his arrival in the city.

During the session, Major General Rashad conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to the Commander-in-Chief, praising the level of development in bilateral relations and emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the two brotherly nations. Both sides discussed local and regional developments, stressing the necessity of continuous coordination to serve mutual interests.
