The Women’s Affairs Office at the Ministry of Interior of the Libyan Government organized a symposium titled “Modern Leadership Strategies for Women,” which was inaugurated by the Minister of Interior, Major General Essam Abu Zreiba, accompanied by the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Major General Faraj Al-Ghaim. The event was attended by representatives from 20 women’s affairs offices across various government ministries and institutions.
Libyan Women at the Forefront: Security, Development, and Decision-Making
The symposium’s scientific program covered vital strategic pillars, primarily focusing on mechanisms for empowering women in modern leadership and developing legal frameworks and charters that support the rights of women in leadership roles. Participants also discussed ways to activate the role of women’s support and empowerment offices within institutional structures. Additionally, working papers were presented regarding women’s roles in addressing security challenges and illegal migration.

At the conclusion of the event, the scientific committee, headed by Dr. Najah Salem, Director of the Office for Support and Empowerment of Women at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented a series of practical recommendations. These focused on strengthening the institutional empowerment of women and developing their leadership skills in alignment with modern management standards. The committee emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and all sectors to ensure effective scientific outcomes.
