Al-Taher Al-Baour, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Government of National Unity, held a meeting this Sunday at the ministry’s headquarters with Martin Reynolds, the UK Ambassador to Libya, the Director of the European Affairs Department, Abubaker Al-Tawil, and the Head of the Western Section, Mustafa Abu Rakhis. The meeting focused on strategies to advance bilateral relations and energize official communication channels.

The primary focus was the reactivation of the Libyan-British Joint Committee, originally established in 2004. Al-Baour pointed out that these committees are a tool for identifying promising investment opportunities and accelerating project implementation, stressing the need for clear mechanisms for periodic evaluation and follow-up to ensure the continuity of plans.
