Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, attended an Iftar banquet for military officers held at the General Staff Headquarters. The gathering featured high-ranking military officials, including First Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief; First Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, Chief of the General Staff; National Security Advisor Abdulrazek al-Nadhuri; and Lieutenant General Bassem Al-Buaishi, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, along with directors of departments and chiefs of specialized branches within the General Command.

In his address, the Commander-in-Chief extended his congratulations to the officers and personnel of the Armed Forces on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation, reaffirming that the Armed Forces remain the primary shield for Libya’s sovereignty and protection. Furthermore, Haftar underscored the vital importance of maintaining peak operational readiness and enhancing advanced training and qualification programs. He stressed the need to keep pace with modern military developments to ensure the military’s capability to counter diverse security threats and uphold the nation’s safety and stability.
