The Prosecutor General’s Office announced that the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor at the Gharyan Court of Appeal has initiated legal proceedings regarding the forgery of official documents used to secure public employment unlawfully. Investigations revealed that an Egyptian national deliberately forged official papers and used them as credentials to hold a position in the Ministry of Education for twenty-two years. The prosecutor discovered that the defendant had altered the data of an employment decree issued by the Gharyan Education Committee in 2004, which allowed him to join and maintain his post throughout that period.

Following the clarification of the facts and the confirmation of forgery and the use of falsified documents, the investigator ordered the defendant’s pretrial detention pending further inquiry. Simultaneously, procedures have begun to calculate the illicit financial gains and material benefits acquired through this crime. This action is a precursor to completing the investigation and referring the case to the trial court based on the findings of the evidence-gathering and interrogation process.
