Misrata Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture received an official delegation from Genoa Chamber of Commerce to strengthen economic ties and facilitate the exchange of expertise. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, Chairman of the Management Committee, along with Director General Abu Bakr Abdul Bari Shanab and several department heads, welcomed the visiting group. The Italian delegation was led by Luigi Attanasio, President of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, and included Stefano Pomata, Mediterranean Director of the “Messina” shipping line, among other officials.

The meeting served as a platform to discuss cooperation and explore new investment horizons across the commercial, industrial, and agricultural sectors. A key highlight of the talks was the official invitation extended to Italian firms to participate in the 6th African Construction Exhibition 2026, scheduled to take place in Misrata from May 2 to May 5, 2026. The visit concluded with a tour of the Chamber’s new administrative headquarters, where the delegation was briefed on the facilities and resources designed to foster regional business growth.
