The final stage of the 2026 Libya Indoor Archery Championship concluded in Tripoli. Organized by the Libyan Archery Federation, the event represented the culmination of the third and final phase of domestic competition, bringing together local talent to vie for the season’s concluding honors.
According to Sabri Sheniba, President of the Libyan Archery Federation, six clubs competed in the finals, including Al-Ahly Tripoli, Sidi Salim, the Military Union, the University of Tripoli, Al-Mashaal, and the Women’s Training Center. In a statement to Almanassa, Sheniba noted the absence of clubs such as Al-Ahly Benghazi, North Benghazi, and Al-Ikhaa Hun due to specific circumstances. He explained that the event concluded with the crowning of the winners, as the Federation now shifts its focus toward preparing for international engagements.
National team member and Sidi Salim club player, Abdulmalik Bahroun, told Almanassa that the tournament provided a platform for athletes to demonstrate their performance. He praised the Federation’s organizational efforts and its commitment to advancing the sport within the country. The competition featured intense rivalry among the participating clubs, reflecting the Federation’s long-term goal of increasing domestic participation and strengthening the presence of archery within the Libyan sporting landscape.
