The youth national teams of Egypt and Algeria have begun their warm-ups at the “Martyrs of Benina” Stadium in Benghazi, preparing for their final-round match in the North African qualifiers for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations. The Egyptian team is aiming for a positive result in this critical encounter to secure a top position in the standings, amidst fierce competition among the region’s teams for qualification spots.
Taking place in Benghazi from March 27 to April 5, the North African qualifiers feature a mini-league format including Libya, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. According to tournament regulations, the top three finishers will qualify for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations finals, scheduled in Morocco in early May.
