Al-Nasr triumphs over Al-Sokour in the Libyan Football League

Al-Nasr achieved a 2-0 victory over Al-Sokour at Shuhada Benina Stadium in Benghazi last Saturday, in the final round of the first half of the season for G1 in the Premier League.

Al-Nasr opened the scoring through its Sudanese professional player, Eid Moqdam, in the 27th minute, before the same player added the second goal in the 62nd minute, securing a valuable victory for his team which raised Al-Nasr’s tally to 17 points in the second place, while Al-Sokour’s balance froze at 14 points in fourth place.

In another match in the same group, Al-Anwar achieved an exciting 4-3 victory over its guest Al-Ansar which brought them together at Shuhada Al-Abyar Stadium.

Al-Ansar took the lead first through its player Amouri Al-Ayadi in the 25th minute, but Al-Anwar quickly equalized through Ali Maimoun in the 27th minute. The professional Mandela added the second goal for Al-Anwar in the 33rd minute, and the first half ended with Al-Anwar leading 2-1.

In the second half, Al-Anwar consolidated its lead with a third goal scored by Islam Al-Ghannai in the 55th minute, before Al-Ansar reduced the difference through Bu Rezeza in the 75th minute. But Al-Anwar returned and scored the fourth goal through Ahmed Al-Sanousi in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick to Al-Anwar, which the professional Samson successfully converted into the winning goal, to end the match with Al-Anwar winning 4-3.

With this victory, Al-Anwar raised its score to 8 points in sixth place, while Al-Ansar remained in seventh place with 6 points.
