The Arabian Gulf Oil Company has announced the reactivation of the Sinaoun oil field located in Nalut, following a closure period exceeding three and a half years. The National Oil Corporation explained that the success in resuming operations was due to the efforts of engineering and technical teams who overcame operational challenges and completed necessary maintenance. Oil pumping began gradually while adhering to strict safety standards, allowing the field—inaugurated in 2020—to resume its role as a vital energy source for the western region’s infrastructure and a contributor to the sector’s overall economic performance.
Production at the field had stopped for more than three years due to technical and financial difficulties related to transporting oil through the pipeline leading to the Mellitah Industrial Complex
