The Turkish construction company Dorce Yapı is preparing to strengthen its presence in the Libyan market, capitalizing on the revitalization of the energy sector following the reopening of oil and gas exploration tenders in Libya for the first time in nearly 17 years. The company explained that the resumption of oil tenders opens new opportunities for implementing projects to construct mobile residential camps in remote desert oil field areas, where demand is rising for infrastructure supporting the operations of energy companies active in the country.

Serhat Polatdemir, the company’s foreign tenders manager, stated that the return of activity in the Libyan energy sector has turned attention toward Turkish companies with prior operational experience inside Libya, noting that the company previously executed projects in Kufra in the southeast of the country, one of the most challenging areas in the Sahara Desert in terms of climatic and logistical conditions. Polatdemir added that the company’s experience in constructing rapidly deployable residential units suitable for desert conditions represents a competitive advantage at the current stage, emphasizing that time factor and fast logistical mobility are key elements in implementing energy sector projects.
