The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has welcomed the meeting of representatives from Libyan security institutions representing various regions, including the East and West. This gathering took place during their participation in the Flintlock exercise held in Sirte city on April 14.
The mission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all endeavors aimed at fostering cooperation between military and security bodies. It emphasized that the unification of these institutions is a fundamental step toward establishing a stable state capable of ensuring comprehensive security.
Furthermore, the mission called upon all parties to maintain momentum in coordination and joint action. Such efforts are viewed as essential for achieving long-term stability and strengthening the foundations of state institutions.
