The Ubari Security Directorate has detained a 51-year-old Libyan national following an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy. The incident was reported by the child’s father, who stated that his son was lured into a grey Sonata while walking toward the al-Hattia area. The suspect reportedly drove the minor to a farm south of the city and attempted to force him out of the vehicle; however, the boy managed to escape and seek refuge in a nearby house. Following a swift investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit, the suspect confessed to the charges and has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Simultaneously, al-Ghurayfa Germa police station, in coordination with the traffic unit, has initiated an extensive patrol campaign on public roads under the direction of the Security Director. These operations are designed to bolster road safety and public order by verifying vehicle documentation and removing illegal window tinting.
