These remarks were delivered on Thursday. President El-Sisi first received Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf to evaluate current developments sweeping the Arab world, the Middle East, and the African continent. In a subsequent meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti, el-Sisi underscored the indispensable role that neighboring states play in safeguarding the unity and stability of sisterly Libya, re-emphasizing the importance of sustaining the institutional work of the trilateral mechanism.
These meetings coincided with Cairo hosting the trilateral ministerial convention on the same day, which brought together the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia to align their diplomatic approaches toward the evolving situation in Libya.
