Dr. Najat Abdulmajid Ammar has been named one of the 20 pioneering visionaries who have made exceptional contributions to advancing diagnostic radiology worldwide, according to a prestigious international ranking by the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
Dr. Ammar—who proudly represented Libya—was selected from among 142,467 active members of the ESR, one of the largest specialized medical organizations globally, with a network spanning 188 countries. The honorees included experts from 18 nations across six continents, such as Hungary, Japan, India, Brazil, Romania, the Netherlands, Palestine, Kenya, Chile, Pakistan, Guyana, Congo, Guinea, the Central African Republic, Peru, Vietnam, and the USA
The recognition was announced during the annual European Society of Radiology Congress (ECR 2025), one of the largest scientific gatherings in the field. The event attracted over 27,000 participants, including leading radiologists, academic researchers, specialized technicians, representatives of top medical imaging technology companies, and international experts invested in the future of this vital discipline.
