The Libyan Ministry of Tourism announced the arrival of tourist groups to the country’s southern regions, amid the secure environment prevailing in these areas. According to a ministry statement, the Tourism Office in Sebha, in coordination with tourism police, recently welcomed a group of 18 Italian tourists on a tour to explore the region’s most prominent natural and historical landmarks.
The group visited the enchanting Ubari Lakes, the golden, and the “Dahan Ubari” area, renowned as an exceptional destination for adventure enthusiasts and lovers of pristine nature.
The ministry emphasized that this steady growth in foreign visitor numbers reflects the region’s improved security stability, attributed to the efforts of the armed forces to secure tourist areas and safeguard visitors.
For his part, Mr. Ali Qalma, Libya’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, praised the performance of Sebha Tourism Office and the tourism police. He highlighted that these efforts bolster international confidence in Libya as a promising tourist destination. He affirmed that such steps form a cornerstone of the government’s plan to revive the tourism sector and showcase Libya’s breathtaking assets.
