Mellitah Oil & Gas announced yesterday, Tuesday, the success of its engineering teams in restarting well CC18 in Al-Salam field, marking an achievement in the company’s efforts to increase production.
The company clarified in an official statement that the well’s reactivation will contribute 34 million cubic feet of natural gas and 515 barrels of crude oil per day to national production.
This step is part of the National Oil Corporation’s strategy to boost output. The corporation aims to raise production to 1.5 million barrels per day by the end of 2025, then to 1.6 million barrels per day in 2026, and ultimately to 2 million barrels per day by the end of 2027.
