Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, conducted a field inspection at the headquarters of the First Border Sector, which operates under the Border Guard and Vital Targets Authority.
The visit took place at the historic Al-Saddadah Fortress to review workflow and assess the unit’s overall readiness to execute its missions.
The Sector Commander and several officers were on hand to greet Dbeibeh upon his arrival, providing him with a detailed briefing. This presentation summarized the Sector’s accomplishments over the preceding three years, outlining actions taken to secure the borders, combat both smuggling and irregular migration, and bolster stability across the border areas.
During his address, Dbeibeh emphasized the critical role the sector fulfills and voiced appreciation for the field efforts being made by its personnel.
He strongly asserted the government’s full support for all units tasked with border security, confirming ongoing work to develop their capabilities for high-efficiency performance. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity of improving readiness levels and ensuring the provision of all required logistical and technical resources to enhance operational performance.
