The Council of Ministers of the Government of National Unity has formally endorsed the awarding minutes and granted authorization for a contract to equip and furnish the Zliten Medical Centre. The goal of this project is to bolster the local healthcare sector readiness and elevate the standard of medical services provided to residents within the municipality.
The approved procurement package encompasses a wide array of vital departments. Key areas include the outfitting of intensive care units, operating theatres, anaesthesia departments, and emergency rooms. Furthermore, the project covers the installation of advanced equipment for radiology, laboratories, and the blood bank, alongside specialized units for endoscopy, dentistry, physiotherapy, and the mortuary.
Beyond medical apparatus, the contract provides for integrated medical and office furniture to optimize the clinical environment. By modernizing the Zliten Medical Centre, the government aims to alleviate the pressure on other regional medical hubs and reduce the necessity for patient transfers. This development represents a strategic step toward aligning national healthcare facilities with modern management standards and improving public health accessibility across the country.
