The Eastern Region branch of the Libyan Equestrian Federation is set to inaugurate its new headquarters in Benghazi on Monday, 18 May 2026, marking a significant step in its institutional and administrative development plan. The opening aligns with the objectives of the Equestrian and Shooting Vision 2030, which aims to establish a modern sporting ecosystem built on advanced organizational and structural foundations.
Announced by the Honorary President of the Libyan Equestrian and Shooting Federation, Lieutenant General Bassem Mohammed al-Bouaishi, this strategic vision outlines a roadmap for advancing both sports. The plan focuses on upgrading infrastructure, empowering riders and shooters, increasing participation in championships, and elevating technical and regulatory standards on both domestic and international fronts.
In a related development, the federation is finalising preparations to launch the Ezz al-Watan International Show Jumping Championship, scheduled to take place at al-Watan Club arena in Benghazi from 20 to 23 May 2026. Featuring a premium selection of riders and horses, the tournament is part of ongoing initiatives to develop show jumping in Libya, raise the caliber of local competitions, and strengthen the country’s presence in global arenas in accordance with the regulatory and technical standards of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI).
