The Minister of Youth in the Government of National Unity, Haitham al-Zahhaf, announced the completion of elections across 29 youth local councils out of 30 targeted municipalities, conducted through 42 polling centers. Writing on his official Facebook page, the minister revealed that voter turnout reached 63% of the registered electorate, which exceeded 68,000 young voters.
Al-Zahhaf praised this turnout at various polling stations across the designated municipalities, stating that such a scene reflects the growing awareness among youth and their eagerness to assume responsibility and contribute to local decision-making. Concluding his statement, the minister extended his congratulations to the winning lists that secured the confidence of their peers, wishing them success in their national duties, while reaffirming commitment to rolling out the second phase of elections for councils whose legal terms have expired.
