The 34th Libyan Chess Championship officially kicks off in Al Bayda, organized by the Libyan Chess Federation from April 1 to April 7, 2026, featuring the nation’s top qualified players.
A total of 26 participants, who secured their spots through regional qualifiers held over the past months, will compete in a nine-round Swiss system format. The tournament is overseen by a national technical committee and chief arbiter Abdelbaset Essewe, ensuring international standards for this prestigious event.
