The company successfully executed Libya’s first-ever smart directional drilling operation at the Al-Khair field. This pioneering achievement ranks the company second globally in utilizing intelligent applications to autonomously steer horizontal well sections within reservoirs.

According to official statements, the implementation of AI resulted in a significant performance boost, effectively doubling penetration rates. The smart system demonstrated high precision in self-steering the well’s horizontal path and making real-time adjustments without human intervention, while simultaneously conducting comprehensive automated reservoir data analysis. Initial tests yielded a daily production of 1,060 barrels.
