Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, received the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Vala, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command Headquarters in Benghazi. The meeting included General Khairi al-Tamimi, Major General Bassem al-Buaishi, and General Ayub Busayf.
The talks focused on strengthening mutual cooperation, with the Commander-in-Chief conveying his regards to President Emmanuel Macron and praising France’s support for resolving the Libyan crisis and fostering regional stability. For his part, Ambassador Vala highlighted the strength of Franco-Libyan relations across the economic, trade, and educational sectors, emphasizing the continued development of these bilateral ties.
