Dbeibah Approves 1,000 Dinar Eid Allowance for Pensioners

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, issued a decree on Wednesday granting a one-off financial allowance of 1,000 dinars to pensioners whose monthly pensions do not exceed 2,000 dinars, ahead of Eid al-Adha. Under the terms of the decision, the payout will be funded through social security contributions and the surplus accumulated by the Social Security Fund, with the Ministry of Finance scheduled to settle accounts with the fund at the close of the current financial year. The measure comes as part of wider government efforts to provide targeted financial assistance to retirees.
