Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour conducted a formal visit to the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) headquarters, holding an extensive meeting with its head, Abdullah Qadirbu, to deliberate on anti-corruption strategies and the preservation of state resources. The discussions focused on the comprehensive annual report for 2024–2025, which detailed significant oversight observations and irregularities within government institutions. Both parties underscored the urgent need for decisive legal measures against any violations of administrative regulations or misuse of public assets identified during the reporting period.
A central theme of the meeting was the status of the state’s closing accounts; both officials emphasized that finalizing these records with high precision is essential for financial transparency and national fiscal stability. They further examined specific cases involving public spending and major government contracts, agreeing to enhance direct operational coordination between the Attorney General’s Office and the ACA. This reinforced partnership aims to facilitate the instantaneous exchange of data, thereby accelerating investigations into financial crimes and ensuring that those responsible for corruption are held accountable under the law.
Regarding institutional development, the Attorney General reviewed the “Initial Core of Investigators” project, praising the initiative for cultivating a professional cadre capable of managing complex oversight cases. The visit concluded with an inspection of the National Training and Development Academy’s facilities, including its advanced training halls and central research library. Al-Sour noted that investing in human capital through modern educational programs is fundamental to building a robust judicial and oversight system, which remains the primary safeguard for national wealth and the ultimate guarantor of transparency and accountability within state institutions.
